Bozzio came to a lot of the same conclusions I did after seeing it..
i wonder, Bozzio have you ever seen Donnie Darko? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that one..
Reloaded was pretty cool all in all.. the car chase scene was great and there's nothign like watching a dude use a human body as a whip to battle 80 other dudes at once..
Hey, thanks for expounding on the ideas present in this most excellent movie, I saw it last night and I must say it exceeded my expectations (I thought it would be a typical followup movie i.e. worse in every aspect than the 1st, but not so..), I love watching movies that make you think, like "Mulholland Drive or "Donnie Darko" and this one was no exception...
One question though:
If we can still safely assume that the machines need the humans for energy, with the whole Zion not being real business and all, why create a Matrix in the first place???
Why not just keep the human subjects comatose, and just gather their energy, and not have to bother with all the hassle involving a fake reality???
Seems to me that this would be the easiest way to deal with the problem... Unless they do the classic soap opera thing "it was all just a horrible, horrible dream..."
But that probably wouldn't make a interesting movie...
Remeber in the first movie morpheous explains that they tried that and the bodies just died because the brain had to be kept active..
Ooops... Totally missed that one, even though I saw both parts 1 and 2 last week...
